Field writing
A drop calendar is easier if you ask three questions in order. Is this a new story file? Is this a cover treatment of a story you already have? Is this a reprint of an edition you already logged?
The first question is about narrative. If the credits page names a new issue in a title you follow, it belongs on the story list. The second question is about costume, foil, or artist variants that do not add pages. The third question is about edition size. Reprint drops often reuse art while changing the serial range. Mixing those three answers in one shopping impulse is how duplicate files appear in a ledger.
Readers in the UK should also convert the posted time. A window described as late evening elsewhere can sit after midnight here, which is a practical problem rather than a collecting problem.
Write the answers on paper or in the local ledger before you open a marketplace tab. The banner will still be loud. Your list will not.
