Paper collectors already know that a later printing can wear the same cover. Digital Marvel NFT comics repeat that pattern with edition sizes and serials instead of indicia text at the bottom of a page.
If two files share art, look for the edition number and the drop date. A later, larger edition is not a stain on the story. It is a different object. Your notes should say reprint rather than “the same comic again,” because “the same” hides the serial range.
People get caught when a listing thumbnail is older than the file being sold. Always match the edition line in the listing to the edition line on the issue. If a seller crops that line, you are looking at marketing, not inventory.
